![]() But for that reason I really hated the end, it might have been good horror (especially Dren talking that one time. I'm kind of at a loss trying to describe it right now. let's call it study on what a sntient being might be like that is not human among humans. Sure, she wasn't hmuman but I've seen enough SciFi to see a beautiful person in a weird costume *shrug*Īnyway, again. I'm not sure, but I rather think they thought Dren would appear much more gross to me than she actually did. So, were they trying to tell us both, or what? o.O But then every so often Dren seemed so human and, at least to me, just like a child might be (I don't like children, actually, but doesn't matter now) I kind of had a hard time thinking of it as an abnormination. when the female scientist (forgot her name) called Fred and Ginger cute, though they were rather ugly blobs (supposed message: Scientists are crazy! They think such gross things are cut! Stay away from them!) They did a lot of these things throughout the whole movie. In the beginning it felt a lot like 'science is bad', e.g. Splice 2 dren legacy movie#The thing is, throughout the movie it felt to me like they were unsure whether to set it up as one big failure or something that ended badly but had potential. was it 'Humans shall not meddle with God's creation' or. ![]() Though, I'm not too sure what the producers/writers/whatsoever were going at. Up to then it really felt like a movie a lot like a modern Frankenstein with humans creating something sentient and then over time more or less screwing it over. I don't like it labled as 'horror', that's also why I like to ignore the last 15 minutes or so ever happened -.-' ![]() Okay, I've seen the movie a few weeks back and I rather liked it. No other film in your local family theater could mix bestiality, incest, pedophilia and possibly a dash of Japanese tentacle crap into the mix.Īnyways, if you had an interest, those are the highlights. You just wanted to get it on with a catgirl/boy. Really? You created this creature without using a womb and suddenly you can't grow one in the lab? Or at least used artificial means (you or the other guy) for impregnation? Please. Oh, did I mention that the one who gets pregnant by it used her DNA for the human parts? Yup, she just had sex with her son/daughter and film ends with her pregnancy, claiming the pursuit of scientific knowledge. There's just something about scientists going at it with their lab creature, both impregnating and getting pregnant by it (yeah, it's a sex changer) that kind of turns me off. ![]() and said there wasn't a one of them there that wasn't about to heave by the end.īy the descriptions given I seriously have no interest in seeing it even out of morbid curiosity. My sister works at a theatre and all the employees got to see it last night before it came out officially. A rant on a movie I've not even watched yet! ![]()
